The “Japan Karate Association World Federation Bangladesh” (JKA WF Bangladesh), is the official Branch of Japan Karate Association World Federation(JKA WF) in Bangladesh and was formed as a non-profit organisation to be governed under the umbrella of JKA WF Tokyo and adhere to its constitution.
The JKA WF Bangladesh has received the Certificate of Membership from the Japan Karate Association on 17 October, 2015 in JKA Headquarters Tokyo and became a direct branch of JKAWF, Tokyo. On the same day, JKA WF has appointed Tulu Ush Shams as Official Representative of JKA WF Bangladesh. JKA WF Bangladesh has an Executive Committee and a Technical Committee both of which is under the leadership of The President of JKA WF Bangladesh.
In line with the philosophy of JKA we are also the preserver of the soul and spirit of the art of ‘kokufu-bunka-karate-do’, karate based on the ancient Japanese tradition of Bushido (the way of the samurai). Our mission is to promote this way of karate throughout the country, ensuring that it remains true to the philosophical precepts upon which it was founded.
JKA WF Bangladesh is an approved karate organisation by Bangladesh Karate Federation, Bangladesh Martial Arts Confederation and in technical partnership with Chittagong District Sports Association, all of which are recognised by the Ministry of Youth and Sports Bangladesh through National Sports Council, Indian Olympic Association, South Asian Karate-Do Federation, Asian Karate Federation, Commonwealth Karate Federation & World Karate Federation.
The JKA WF Bangladesh is centrally organised and coordinated through JKA WF Bangladesh HQ, situated in Chittagong, although there are many member groups and branch dojo in different areas of the country.
